Big apple.

I'm off to NYC for a wedding and some quality time with my grandma. But don't worry, I'll be back Monday with more details of what I'm eating and what bad television show I'm watching.

If all goes well, I'll get to go to my favorite place in NYC. At the very least, tomorrow I'll be reunited with my beloved East Coast beers!

Do you like steak? Have you eaten at Peter Luger? I strongly recommend it. But only if you like steak.

Have fun in NY! Oh, and when do we get the results of the haiku challenge?

I DO like steak, but I think I'll stay away from Peter Luger until I find a sponsor. Any takers? Haiku results coming--I know someone who still wants to respond.

Prague vs. NYC? Tough call!

And yes, my grandma is still great. Did you know she has a boyfriend?

Argh. Yes. I need to decide that I'm not going to be able get the last two haiku correct. And that's killing me. Soon. Maybe today, even.

It all depends on how quickly I grow up.

Cool blog Kate! Although I must admit, it has a somewhat different tone from the Kate I know. I have a tripartite comment for you.

1. Your cookies were delicious. I may have had one while watching football with Allen on sunday.

2. Did you see 2046 yet? Did you like it?

3. When you asked me for bands I have been into lately, I almost mentioned Mike Doughty. He makes my semi-depressing list of "bands that i didnt know when they played spring weekend and now love". That's really cool about the anagram thing.

Welcome, Captain Inappropriate! As for my different tone, I guess this is just my "blog voice" or something. (I must say, you were rather...*a*ppropriate this weekend, I thought. So, you became more appropropriate, and I got a different tone?) I will give you a tripartite response to your comment!

1. Yes, thank you, those cookies are one of my specialties.

2. I did not see 2046 yet, but I want to.

3. Ha! I totally agree. How could I not have fully appreciated Yo La Tengo/Wilco/Soul Coughing???!!! I want a time machine.
